A Who's Who of 1LET

For those of you who have been landlord's and tenants with 1LET for a long period of time, may of had dealings with myself over the years. I returned from Maternity Leave at the beginning of June, after having my 2nd wee boy, Archie, and have settled back into the team as if I had never been away; helping all other members of the team and continuously making endless cups of tea and coffee for everyone in the office.

Some of you knew me as your Property Manager, and now I have returned to 1LET taking on the new role of the Business Development Manager, helping strategize and progress the growth of the company working closely with Ken to put his visions in to motion. Being an experienced Property Manager, I will still manage a small portfolio of properties and help tenants and landlords ensure their needs are met, continuing to build strong relationships, and offering exceptional customer service.

We would also like to introduce and say a big hello to Karolina Tatarowicz, who has joined our 1LET team as a Portfolio Manager. Karolina has a strong background in customer service and has already began introducing herself to her tenants as well as helping landlords with their properties. She is looking forward to getting her teeth into new challenges and since joining the team has completed her ARLA qualification. We will all admit Karolina is a great member of the team and has fitted in very well. Her infectious laugh and stories keep everyone going and we are so happy to have her in the 1LET team.

Exciting times ahead as Nicole our Finance Administrator, who is currently on her Maternity Leave, announced the birth of her first child last month, and we are delighted to share that she has given birth to a beautiful baby girl called Emily. As a company we are all over the moon for her and her partner Ollie and cannot wait until she brings their baby into the office for cuddles and a catch up. Nicole is a key member of our Finance Team, ensuring finance runs like a well-oiled machine. She will be missed while she is on Maternity Leave, and it’s not only because she has the best snacks in the office.

Landlords and Tenants do not fear, as we have a strong finance team and are delighted to welcome back Janina Malarska who some of you may already know. Janina was previously a 1LET Property Manager, and in 2020 decided to go back to Poland to spend time with family. Missing Edinburgh life, Janina and her family have made the decision to come back to the city, and has come back to 1LET joining our Finance Department. We are sure with Janina’s eye for detail and head for numbers, she will take this new role in her stride. Furthermore, we are delighted to introduce you to our new Finance Administrator, Tahlia, who is a former 1LET Tenant. Tahlia is a breath of fresh air, and her bright smile and friendly demeanour makes her a great fit to the team.

For many of you who have been 1LET Landlords for a significant number of years will recognise or have known Jack McLean-Foreman. Jack has been with 1Let since 2018 and has been instrumental in guiding the finance department though the pandemic, changes of personnel and with training. He is returning to Stirling University to complete a Master’s degree, and while we will all miss him, we want to wish him all the best with his studies and future endeavours.

Having seen a few staff changes over the years, we genuinely feel this is the strongest team we have had, ever! With Ken as our Managing Director and Beata taking the reigns as our Operations Director the company is definitely in safe hands. Tina and Rebecca excel as a Lettings Department and finding the best tenants for our properties, ensuring our landlords have only the best tenants. The Property Management department has never been tighter, with Rosalind, Karolina and myself all bringing years of knowledge and experience to the table ensuring they bounce any ideas off one another making sure the management of the 1LET portfolio runs smoothly. Janina and Tahlia continue to bond as a department and make sure all financial processes are up to date and accurate. And we cannot forget Katharine who is our Compliance Manager. Katharine predominately works from home, and we would all be lost without her compliance knowledge and ensuring all properties are up to spec and safe for our tenants. Even though Katharine isn’t in the office as frequently, the days she does come into the office, we are all delighted to see her and hear all the recent on goings with her grandsons.
