Coffee, People & Property: Meet Daisy Holt

Meet Daisy – bringing energy, care and a personal touch to property management

Rosalind Johnson, MARLA
Head of Property Management

At 1Let, everything we do comes down to people - and Daisy Holt is a brilliant example of that.

Daisy joined the team shortly after graduating and has quickly become a key part of our property management team. She moved to Edinburgh in 2023 to study Business Management and Spanish, and alongside her studies worked in hospitality - where she found her love for fast-paced, people-focused work.

Which, as it turns out, is pretty much the perfect training ground for property management.

Life as a Property Manager (no two days are the same)

Ask Daisy what the job is like and she’ll tell you it’s collaborative, rewarding and fast-paced - and that’s exactly why she loves it.

“There’s something really rewarding about knowing that the work I do has a direct impact on someone’s home environment.”

Whether it’s sorting a maintenance issue, helping a tenant, or keeping a landlord in the loop, Daisy is all about solving real problems for real people.

She brings a calm, approachable energy to everything she does (which definitely helps on the more chaotic days), and she’s someone both landlords and tenants can feel comfortable coming to.

Behind the scenes, it’s a lot of organisation, communication and juggling priorities - but Daisy handles it all with care, professionalism and a genuine desire to get things right.

She’s also thrown herself into learning the ins and outs of the industry, building her knowledge and confidence every day.

Outside of work: gym sessions, coffee spots & travel plans

When she’s not managing properties, Daisy is usually either at the gym, in a coffee shop, or out with friends making the most of her weekends

She’s currently on a mission to try as many coffee spots in Edinburgh as possible (a challenge we can definitely get behind), with favourites including Margot, Fettle, KUL Coffee and Lounge 33 - especially for the live vinyl sets.

She also loves travelling and meeting new people - something she fully embraced on a recent solo trip to Paris. She’s also a big fan of techno music and is known for bringing that energy into the office to keep everyone going.

Next on the list? Brazil.

Think New Year’s Eve on the beach, fireworks, amazing food and a proper once-in-a-lifetime atmosphere.

What “home” really means

For Daisy, home isn’t just about how a place looks - it’s about how it feels.

“A home is somewhere you can walk into and instantly relax without even thinking about it.”

She’s always imagined herself in a modern apartment (ideally somewhere warm), with lots of personality and a great indoor-outdoor vibe.

But for now, Edinburgh has firmly become home. Even when she travels back to England, it’s coming back to her flat here that makes her feel most at ease.

We’re really lucky to have Daisy on the team, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow.
