After a year on maternity leave, we’re delighted to officially welcome Tina back to the 1Let team this June!

Tina originally joined 1Let as a Lettings Negotiator in 2020 after studying Interior and Environmental Design - a background that quickly developed into a passion for property and people. Her eye for detail, calm approach, and ability to build strong relationships with landlords and tenants quickly made her a hugely valued part of the team, leading to her promotion to Lettings Manager in December 2021.

Now, she returns in an expanded role as our Lettings & Business Development Manager, where she’ll lead the Lettings Team while also helping drive the continued growth of 1Let through relationship building, marketing, networking, and new business opportunities.

After a year away, Tina says she’s looking forward to getting back into the rhythm of work, reconnecting with colleagues and clients, and having a little time to herself again alongside motherhood. She admits she’s missed the social side of office life and the lovely people she works with most.

A lot has changed for Tina over the past year. As well as becoming a mum, she also recently got engaged - a very exciting year all round. Motherhood has apparently taught her many things so far - most importantly: never forget the changing bag.

Anyone who knows Tina will know she brings a calm, grounded presence to the office alongside a fantastic eye for aesthetics and design. She’s thoughtful, approachable, and someone people naturally trust, whether they’re a landlord, tenant, colleague, or client. She’s also still the go-to person for interiors inspiration, restaurant recommendations, and creating what may genuinely be some of the best cheeseboards known to mankind.

Outside of work, Tina loves painting, spending time with friends and family, exploring Edinburgh’s food scene, and keeping up with the latest design trends. Her ideal weekend starts with an early morning family dog walk on the beach, followed by coffee and pastries, catching up with friends, and a slow Sunday spent with her boys.

A perfect Sunday for Tina: beach walks, coffee, pastries, and family time.

Her love of interiors still shines through in everything she does. Tina’s dream design style is a mix of contemporary and traditional, with earthy tones, black accents, and plenty of character - although she’s very clear that anything scalloped needs to disappear immediately.

It’s a skillset that naturally complements the lettings world too - helping her see properties not just as buildings, but as homes and spaces people genuinely connect with.

Food and drink-wise, she describes herself as “a basic gal”, happiest with either a cosmopolitan or an espresso martini in hand. She’s currently loving Le Petit Beefbar in Edinburgh, has Patatino next on her list, and insists the Uplands Roast coffee van in the Meadows is one of the city’s best hidden gems - especially for hot chocolate. One thing she won’t be ordering, however, is chorizo, which she firmly believes is far too overpowering and completely overdone.

When she’s not working or spending time with family, Tina enjoys painting and would love to become an expert in art history and the wider art world one day. One of her favourite pieces she’s created is a painting of a boat done directly onto a table in her Dad’s restaurant in Namibia - combining her love of art, interiors, and meaningful spaces all in one project.

She also casually happens to have completed two half marathons - something many people may not know about her.

We’re incredibly excited to have Tina back and can’t wait to see her thrive in her new role.

Welcome back, Tina - we missed you!

Precious time with her wee boy ahead of her return to work.
